It's Pumpkin Spice Latte season! The leaves are starting to change colors and people are enjoying to cool weather they've been craving during the hot summer months. 1. MacQueen's Apple Orchard
Almost all Toledo Natives have been to or heard of MacQueen's Apple Orchard. It's the perfect fall place to go for the whole family! And this fall they're having their annual Apple Butter Festival October 7th - 8th! This festival attracts thousands of people from all over who are wanting to participate in the Apple Pie Contest where the best apple pie recipe wins a cash prize and the pride of saying they have the best apple pie in the midwest. They also have pony rides for the kids, live entertainment and music, inflatables, and horse drawn wagon rides!
2. Wheeler Farms
This beautiful farm features 1,000 different exotic butterflies in their butterfly house to see in the summer, but in the fall months they open up their amazing CORN MAZES to the public. Featuring four different mazes to get lost in for all skill levels, this is the perfect fall activity for all age groups. You can also enjoy a nice cozy bonfire and some fall themed snacks while at this fun-filled farm.
3. Garrison Ghost Walk at Fort Meigs
At the site of the an 1812 Battle Field in Perrysburg, this night tour shows the ghostly side of Fort Meigs. However, you won't see any real ghosts on this tour as the fun is designed for the whole family! Proceeds for this event go towards the Old Northwest Military History Association, and tickets can be purchased in advance for the event which takes place 2 weekends in October.
4. Fleitz Pumpkin Farm
If you're wanting to start a new family tradition, Fleitz Pumpkin Farm is a great place to go this fall! This family-run farm located in Oregon, has hayrides, a petting zoo, a corn maze, and obviously pumpkin picking! They also have some amazing fall donuts that people will wait in line for hours wanting to enjoy.
5. Trapped Toledo
Looking to be scared this Halloween? Trapped Toledo is an interactive theatre that will lock you in a room and give you 60 minutes to figure out a way to escape. Trapped Toledo features 3 interactive experiences to choose from which are changing all the time. Might want to leave the kids at home for this one; they only allow guests who are 15+ to participate!
